Abstract
The Journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences "Russian History" is a leading national scientific journal devoted to the discussion and analysis of Russian history, historiography and methods of historical research. The history of the journal presents three main stages corresponding to the critical milestones in the development of the country and the history of modern science: the first-from the foundation (in March 1957) to 1992; the second-to 2006; the third-begins in 2007. These stages are expressed in changes in the name of the journal: "History of the USSR" (1957-1991), "Domestic History" (1992-2008) and "Russian History" (since 2009 to the present). The last stage of the journal's activity (2007-2012), presented by me as the editor-in-chief, is the subject of this report. The analysis of the activities of any scientific publication includes the following main components: 1) the conceptual framework; 2) the structure of scientific priorities; 3) the experimental component of the activity; 4) the place in the system of scientific communications; 5) the goals and prospects of development. I will follow this logic in this report.
